Story Behind the Song
This song was not written as a personal perspective of me being hope, but from the perspective of "Hope" being a thing or a consciousness. I have always felt that you can't go further in life, beyond where you are now, unless you have hope. It is what enables us to go on. I also believe there is great power in the words "I Am."

I am, I am, I am, I am hope ....
What do you do when you're lonely?
What do you say when you're down?
Where do you go when you're feeling low,
And the path to all your dreams just can't be found.
Come to me, there's a better day tomorrow
Come to me, I can heal your weary heart
Here you can begin, you can learn to live again
You can set aside your emptiness,
Even mend a broken heart
How do you cope when you're angry?
What do you lose when you're lost?
Do you wonder why the world keeps rushing by,
You'll reap a bitter fortune if you're haunted by the cost.
Come to me, there's a better day tomorrow
Come to me, I can heal your weary heart
Here you can begin, you can learn to live again
You can set aside your emptiness,
Even mend a broken heart
Not all of pain is for sorrow.
Not all of tears are for crying.
Not all alones are for loneliness.
Not all of anger is for raging war.
I am hope, I am hope, I am hope ...
