	Story Behind the Song Fred Phelps is a baptist preacher from Kansas who began his picketing campaign at the funeral of a Wyoming college student named Mathew Shepard, who was beaten to death for being gay. Mathew was beaten by several drunk fratboys while walking home from a local bar. Jerry Falwell is a well respected person in the Christian community who, on the TV show "The 700 Club", blamed the "abortionists, feminists, the gays, lesbians" for the September 11th attacks (the sound clip heard before the song). He places blame on people who fight for rights that we as humans justly have. He even goes so far as to blame the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) for 9/11 as well, whose goal is to make sure that we keep our civil rights. This song goes out to people who think that they have the right to say how a person lives their life, or who they should love or have sex with, or that someone is wrong for the decisions that they have every right to make.
