A little space pop, a country-pickin type middle solo, a way funky groove at the end, topped off with an orgasmic guitar solo. |

Story Behind the Song
Six minute song inspired by Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five". It tries to musically portray the main character in the book, "Billy Pilgrim". The song morphs from a straight-ahead song structure about Billy's battlefield problems and resolve to get to a different place ("this time tomorrow"), into the "Tralfamadore Instrumental", which either represents time travel or is just a cool funky groove. Our song has a better guitar solo than any of Vonnegut's books.
Lyrics
Billy could see the end was near
He walks across the fields of destruction
Trapped in this land, Billy would walk
He walks from east to west to find a home
The sky was empty, and the day was dark
Billy looks toward the stars
He moves beyond himself into the atmosphere
And Billy thinks he's found a home
This time tomorrow....
Another planet, haven of innocence
The Earth behind him, Billy settles far
His dreams of peace are in his heart
And Billy thinks he's found a home
This time tomorrow...
(Tralfamadore Instrumental)
