Story Behind the Song
My wife June and I live on a rural property in the Pacific Northwest. The property is mostly wooded, with trails and old logging roads running through it. We take our dogs for walks down these roads (well, mostly June does it), and one nice summer day, I was inspired to write this tune after a very pleasant walk.
I can't remember whether Paul is playing a real accordion or a synth, but my friend Brian described his playing on this cut as "Funky!"
Haiku:
moss cushions my step
trillium and wild iris
delight my senses
