	Story Behind the Song Basically this is a song we wrote in response to September 11th. The lyrics are pretty self-explanatory. Lyrics The morning the buildings fell, tears rolled down my face for a different reason. An army of people calling out pride but embracing hate. My eyes get tired from the drowning sea of flags. It's not that I'm ungrateful for where I am, but if we stop progressing we can only go so far until we turn back around. The waving flag flies over people pointing fingers in a cold October. My views muffled by the sound of the crowd. Another gunshot, don't remember the dead by letting your fear consume us, by taking the law into your own hands. In a world of cold shoulders, buying a gun for a false sense of protection will only keep the people you love farther away. I cry in these times just the same as any man, but I refuse to forget our humble past. Standing up for a country of people who salute our slaugter has made my eyes red white and black. I won't back down from my demands. A gun shot in the name of the flag is still a gun shot.
