    Story Behind the Song
This tongue in cheek tale of modern personal finance was originally an unplugged rockabilly number that got a swingin' soul when Neil decided to lay down a tasty C6 steel track. Once we had the style locked in it only took a couple of takes.

    Lyrics
Loosen up Lucy let the good times roll
You see our big chance came by mail
We're outta the dumps and into the dough
'cause Chase Manhattan just paid our bail
    We gotta credit line
Now no more nickels and dimes

When I opened up that envelope
You know it took me by suprise
    A gorgeous golden plastic card
With my name appeared before my eyes
    Said "Here's your credit line"
Now no more nickels and dimes

Well its almost heaven to say
    "Charge it, thank you sir"
    Until chapter eleven baby
    Its diamond rings and furs

Well I know we've had some hard times baby
But that's all in the past
So just stand tall, we're goin' to the mall
    And have ourselves a blast
    We gotta credit line
Now no more nickels and dimes

Well its almost heaven to say
    "Charge it, thank you sir"
    Until chapter eleven baby
    Its diamond rings and furs

Well I'm thinkin' as I'm drivin'
My new Caddy one fine day
I owe some greedy New York banker
Ten times more than I can pay
    Extend the credit line now
    No more nickels and dimes
    I said extend that line
    No more nickels and dimes
    I'll even do the time
but no more nickels and dimes
    No more nickels and dimes
