Story Behind the Song
I got the idea for these lyrics after seeing a story on TV about a pakistanian woman who had been severly beaten by her husband for no reason at all. Due to the different culture over there, the husband was not in trouble with the law and was told its his right to do what he wants to his wife. The solo just comes from the vocal line which would be sung in the verse once a singer is found, and took a little while too mix the rythm and lead guitars for this bit to get it right.
Lyrics
Verse 1
From pakistan, there is a girl
A tale to tell, no means to do so
All the years, inflicted to her kind heart,
The pain recieved from her true love.
No wrong had she done, to her husband
Shared by him, this view was not
In his eyes, she had betrayed him
He caught her eyes, on another man
Chorus
It's simple to see
There's something wrong with me
I should treat you with respect
Next time I wont forget
Verse 2
Her nose was taken, tongue removed
By the man, she once loved
All this pain, she got for doing nothing wrong
Because of her foreign culture
In his eyes, it was his right
To hurt his wife for wat she'd done
The town beleived he'd done right
No punishment given, by police
