Story Behind the Song
Recorded in Parma, Ohio (near Cleveland) in the basement of a Ukranian who, incidently, is ugly and possibly retarded.
The idea for the lyrics came from friend's story about some guy who an open arm wound and, after sleeping outside with it exposed, eventually discovered that he had maggots growing in it.
Music written one week after the musicians bought their first instruments.
A stupid song written, performed, and recorded by even stupider people. Vocals done ala My Dying Bride in order to encourage all listeners to kill themselves immediately.
Lyrics
I awoke after sleeping in the sun/
I looked at my skin to see what had been done/
I was truly shocked at what I did see/
A little maggot looking at me/
Chorus #1:
Live maggots, in my arm (x2)
I must kill myself in order to survive/
The only friends of mine are maggots in my mind/
I look into my heart and all I find is pain/
I suffer from the wiggling of the maggots in my brain/
Live maggots, in my lungs (x2)
I go to Taco Bell to leave this toxic hell/
I need to leave my body, this living prison cell/
I order a burrito because I think they're neat-o/
Slip some hemlock in my coke and now I'm rotting meat-o
Live maggots, in my grave (x2)
