The words to HIHTN were written by Douglas Adams (ala Marvin the Paranoid Android) from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
CD: Digital Me   Label: NTIC (independent local producers)
Credits: Words by Douglas Adams, music by Damon C Bradshaw & Thematic Array

    Story Behind the Song
When I read Marvin's poem in "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish" they immediately spoke out to me as being helplessly dark and pitiful, and I though they might make good lyrics for a song. It started out as an experiment, but I think turned out to be a decent work.

    Lyrics
Now the world has gone to bed
    Darkness won't engulf my head
    I can see by infrared
    How I hate the night

Now I lay me down to sleep
    Try to count electric sheep
Sweet dream wishes you can keep
    How I hate the night
