	Story Behind the Song This was written about life in my old high school, but applies everywhere. It's about the social cliques and how everyone is fake when their in a group and personal when alone. The music came first. I was just getting into fingerpicking and fooling around with country/bluegrass beats and the key of G. I just wanted to make a poppy bluegrassish song. The lyrics were written in one sitting (about 1 hr), being heavily influenced by Lindsey Buckingham's short-lined writing style. I applied the lyrics a long time after I wrote the song. I just thought the marriage of the two was great. This was recorded using a cheap ($10) computer mic for the guitar and a Shure SM-58 for the vocals. I recorded and played around with it in ACID and Sound Forge. The vocals took about 2-3 takes and the guitar took aobut 4-5. Lyrics I sat against the wall, staring at the people's grins. Their smiles were fake, truth left at home again (Chorus) I walk these halls, with a face of fury I walk these halls, with those so dirty I walk these halls, with a face of fury A face of fury I saw the people, grouping separately together. Slowly going insane, all together. (Chorus)
