| Story Behind the Song
I wrote this after, of all things, jumping on a trampoline. That was the general premise, and I tied in some other things, like not knowing things...
 LyricsSurrounded by uncertainty,
I wish you would speak specifically.
 Surrounded by subtlety,
 I’m terrified of falsity.

When you compliment I have reason hope,
Otherwise Im falling down a steep slope.
Bogged down by what could be bating lines,
Please give me a hint, Im not Constantine.

 Everything remembered is blurred,
 Leaving me very unsure.
I have no certainty in what I’ve seen,
It’s like trying to focus on a trampoline.

Was there something to what you said,
Some flirting innuendo, or do you wish me dead.
I wish that I were certain of what I’ve heard,
When you’re on a trampoline nothing is for sure.

 Bombarded by my own confusion,
Could your kindness be an illusion?
 Lies and truth become interwoven,
I don’t know how long this memory will be open.

Lost in a sea of little things,
Im not sure what it all means.
I cant keep track of the pain it brings,
But when its gone I can still count the stings

 Everything remembered is blurred,
 Leaving me very unsure.
I have no certainty in what I’ve seen,
It’s like trying to focus on a trampoline.

Was there something to what you said,
Some flirting innuendo, or do you wish me dead.
I wish that I were certain of what I’ve heard,
When you’re on a trampoline nothing is sure
