	Story Behind the Song Song written about different pets I grew up with as a young lad from hamsters to Turtles to budgies etc. I have always marveled at and loved animals, in particular their ability to be great company and loyal friends. Lyrics I had a hampster his name was Harry We were such good friends I brought him candies But he brought me babies I guess I was wrong again. I had a turtle his name was Sandy We were such good friends And he'd look so funny When he'd run his races All over the living room floor.
