Story Behind the Song
jen wrote the lyrics to this song, which was origionally a poem, based on a crappy relationship she had been in, unfortunatly. then came marisa and rachel to join her in creating the guitar and harmonies. this song is sooo true to life, as well as catchy.
Lyrics
my bistandard life has come to an end,
though abrupt, quite necessary.
this was heated by your constant insults, all your lack of love.
you're the master of guilt, but i don't feel guilty for leaving you here by yourself.
finally you'll get just what you deserve.
first impressions are vital, but what matters most is what comes after.
love once deep now becomes shallow and clear.
your first words were fitful and the moment was right.
clever compliments are what brought me to you.
your immaculate ways are what dragged me in, until it was more than i could bare.
first impressions are vital, but what matters most is what comes after.
love once deep now becomes shallow and clear.
the memories will last a life time.
one more day dealing with you,
i'd have become contaminated,
i would have lost my last shred of respect for myself.
