Story Behind the Song
A song about somebody who thinks hes better off thinking that the glass is half full... of nothing. It's got a nice French Horn in it and was recorded by a nice chap called Drew. We did it in about an hour. My favourite. And most other people who have heard it seem to agree.
Lyrics
1. love2lose
(BARKER, 2002)
Never happy when hes doing well,
Hes always looking for the losing side,
Ever someone says youre looking swell,
Hed prefer to think that theyd just lied.
Fell in love and he paid the cost
and if youre lucky then hell show you the bruise,
They say its better to have loved and lost,
But I think hes just loving to lose,
Loving to lose
If its sunny then you know hell burn,
Or hell come out in a rash from the heat,
If its money then you know hell earn
about minimum wage in a week.
Aims low in every way
and hes never disappointed at all,
Must be funny to live each day
knowing failure is inevitable,
Got nothing to lose
Just loving to lose
And when he sings he sings of terrible things and the songs go on for far too long,
About trees that are brown and children that frown, he must be doing something wrong.
And when he sings he sings of miserable things but it helps him get through the day,
Hell tell you well of his personal hell noone listens to the words anyway…
