Story Behind the Song
Ralph Maccio spent the movie Crossroads looking for Robert Johnson's mythical 30th song - the one that Robert never recorded. He should have consulted with Johnny Shines. According to Johnny Shines, who used to travel and play the blues with Robert, this is Robert Johnson's 30th song, the one that he never got a chance to record before he was killed. Johnny recorded a version of this on his album Traditional Delta Blues. This song is also known as Tell Me Mama (I don't think that Robert ever had a chance to name it). This is my take on the song, I played it on my '37 National Duolian.
