Story Behind the Song
This song took quite some time to come about... the main riff has made several transformations before taking its current shape. Prelude to Darkness came about by accident while I was messing around one night. I later realized that these 2 songs were destined to be joined.
When I originally started to really sit down and write lyrics for it, I was going to write about the 2000 presidential election. After some advice from my ex-bandmate, I (smartly) decided to scrap that concept and simply write about politics in general leading to the demise of a socie
