Song about a penguin, the epicurean penguin. He lives somewhere that ain't here, and enjoys cigarettes and martinis. A very low-impact lifestyle. Sleeping at least eight hours a night, lounging about in between naps. Hosts frequent parties. Loves to see the show. |

Story Behind the Song
The epicurean penguin was born as an image in my mind, some cold night under the stars, perhaps december 2001. He represents a part of me, very laid-back, existing for pleasure, shunning productivity for creativity. Not only is it one of my longer songs, its also taken me a very long time (approximately 5 months, off and on) to think of and record all of the thematic ideas. Listen to the percussive line as I've tried to emulate the epicurean penguin's quacking noise.
Lyrics
quack quack, quack quack
quack quack, my tongue is black
