	Story Behind the Song I was moved to write this song as I grieved the loss of a dear family friend, Bill Madison. He was a man's man. Strong. Retired Navy. He loved his family dearly. As I remembered his life I wanted to memorialize the sheer commitment to all whom he loved. That commitment defined his love in my view. So, the image of an anchor chain came naturally to express this man's character. I hope that everyone who hears this song is better for being touched by Bill's heart through these words. Our world needs many more people dedicated to each other the way he was.
