This song was part of the last sessions Damon completed with "Mindcage", which was a spinoff band utilizing the members of ISCARIOT after the departure of Craig Nudo and the return of bassist Brian Howell. The drums on this track are pretty sparse and trudging, and led to Damon's ultimate depature from the band in 1996.
CD: None   Label: Camenae Entertainment Group, Inc.
Credits: Vocals, lyrics, arr. - Damon Savich; Guitars, arr. - Dietrick Hardwick; Bass, arr. - Brian Howell; and Drums, arr. - John Crowther. Recorded at Juggler's Vein and A Brown Sound, San Rafael, CA 1996

    Story Behind the Song
The lyric to this one was originally written in 1992 as part of Damon's "Methodology of Madness" poetry anthology (Shadow's Heart Productions). The song was written as part of a two song piece which paired it with "Mindcage: Act 1". This is the reason for the strange ending and fade. The tracks for the second half were never recorded and this one was scrapped. Damon has only recently pulled it out of mothballs and is currently "revamping" it with new "Endless Dream" guitarist "Angry Pauly" Hale. This remix (and the finished track that will ensue in coming months) is dedicated to the lovely Arban Ornelas, who inspired Damon to jump back into the music scene after a year-long hiatus. Arban's band "Darling Hate" is currently recording a new album of Darkwave and electronica tracks, and a couple of the demos for that project are available here on MP3.com.

    Lyrics
    Day Into Night (for Arban)

Yesterday, I sat and drowned my sorrows,
    Cursing Dreams and lies,
    'Midst hungry faces
Searching for emotion in my eyes.
With the darkness came and angel,
    Beauty shining bright;...
You trapped my soul within your stare
And left me blinded by your light.

Just as I felt I had reached my road's end,
And Life had passed me by,
Revived, I found my eyes were opened
    To see the reasons why.
You came to me with Joy and Sadness,
    Fear and Innocence,
And led me to Love's winding path
    Of Dreams and consequence.

Now is the only Time that's for real.
The only answer: Live what you feel!
If you believe in Love at first sight,
I want you with me, here...
    Day into Night!

    (guitar solo)

Wrapped in your arms I have found real Peace.
You give me strength to cope.
In your eyes I've seen the subtle
    shades of Faith and Hope.
    In you, I see past this Horizon;
    Beyond the Laws of Men,
Where Twin Souls soar through boundless Time and Space which lie within.

We'll find the strength, together somehow,
To live for the Moment; Love Here and Now!
If you believe in Truth, wrong or right,
I want you with me day Into Night.
'Cause now is the only Time that's for real.
The only answer: Live what you feel!
If you believe in Love at first sight,
I want you with me, here...
    Day into Night!
    Day into night!
