Story Behind the Song
This song is named after what I thought was one of Jeananne Garofalo's dogs. I could be wrong but I like the name anyway. Lyrically, It's written for all the kids wearing big pants. I was one of them once opon a time and I'm letting them know that if they think they've got it bad now, just wait til you get older! This is not my first old man song, ya know?
Lyrics
1.There's a little sick, and there's a little sad, hiding in the hearts of your mom and dad/and they don't mind your sleeping, just act like you're awake/ and hide a little sorrow with every breath you take
chorus:But if the life that you waited for falls into the mouth of someone you don't like just take some joy when they choke on the mistakes you'd have made
2.the liquor made me blind, I couldn't see the joke/ in every verse and chorus in every song they wrote/ and every evil thought needs a voice to set it free/ and every bridge that's burning will be pissed out by me
chorus
make sure they don't spit it your way
bridge:let the camera flash the light/when you're full of clear eyed sight/ but will the capture read "in happier times, shortly before the amazing decline" or will you rise above, try not to be too full of shit/ just because you hate it doesn't mean you don't admire it/ it's all part of the game, we just don't wear our pants the same/ and you will leave before we play/ But I love you anyway
