    Story Behind the Song
This song was inspired by the rash of headline court cases where the defendant used the excuse of "being abused as a child" and, therefore, the murder he comiited was not his fault. How many times have we all heard that? If people THOUGHT about the consequences of their actions before they committed these heinous crimes, society would be so much better and this song wouldn't exist.

    Lyrics
What's there to steal? Same old situation
    (I) Feel sometimes you only need to take that and then run off
You've tried the phone, same misinformation
I know sometimes you never hear me

Everybody's moaning about their family abuse and dysfunction (oh yeah)
For you mistakes sure defeat I face
Is the fear of me the only way
To get you to live another way?
To get you to live another day?

    CHORUS:
YOU TELL YOUR LIES AND THEY SEE YOU CRY
OH MY DADDY ONCE ABUSED ME
(LET ME HEAR YOU SAY IT)
YOU DON'T TRY AND JUSTIFY YOUR CRIME
OH MY DADDY ONCE ABUSED ME

Get with it real- you got no pot to piss in
Rough sometimes when all you know is to lay back and say "Come on"
    You know the deal
You've seen it all on Oprah
    But nothing gains your sympathy
