    Story Behind the Song
I had an ex who was enthralled with Audrey Hepburn.... we used to always watch old movies together. When I finally saw the movie "Casablanca," it was weird. I had heard all the "classic" lines so many times that I actually wanted to say Hey!-- the actors aren't saying them right.

    Lyrics
    Of all the gin joints
    In all the cities
    In all the world
You chose to walk into mine
    Though I'm not really
    The stoic type
    Strong and silent
    Is not my style
    And I could never be
    Some hero out of your
    Black and white movies
    Not nearly debonair enough
    To be cast as your
    Prince charming

So I'll put my gray armor on
    And I'll come riding through
    Just like London that day
    When my black and white
    Shadows grayed
    And you wore blue
    And you wore blue
    And you were blue

You ask me to do it
    Just one more time
    That tired line
    Just for you
    Well don't be too harsh
    If my Humphrey Bogart
    Is not all that
    It used to be
    And further complicating things
    Is the fact that Casablanca
    Doesn't mean
    Anything
    Anymore
    To me

So I'll put my gray armor on
    And I'll come riding through
    Just like London that day
    When my black and white
    Shadows grayed
    And you wore blue
    And you wore blue
