Story Behind the Song
Learning should be fun when ever possible. Writing this song was through
working with children of all ages and knowing they learn best when singing.
Mose children listen to the radio and the latest artists that are current.
If children can learn lyrics to songs. This shows they can learn anything if
they like the subject through music. Music is one way to learn and enjoy at
the same time. Using what we like to stimulate the learning experiance,
I find this can work with many things as education, games, and many other
areas that we use everyday. This song took a couple of months to get right.
Always looking at the indruments and the lyric content. Making changes
where necessary. It took a couple of days to record due to the instruments and
the vocals. I don't count takes this is what I love to do and never worry about
how long. The song has to be good and say something that I feel would be
important to help learn and feel good. I would like to leave people with a
good feeling when I write It is with the reaction from the children. Seeing their
eyes light up when they enjoy something is a great feeling.
Lyrics
Can you say the alphabet with me
A,B,C,D,E,F,G
Can you say the alphabet with me
H,I, J, K, L,M,N,O,P
Q,R,S,- T, U, V,W, X,Y and Z
this is how we learn to speak
by saying ABC's
Can you count from 1 to 5 with me
1,,2,3,4,5 you see
Can you count from 6 to 10 with me
6,7,8,9,10 with ease
Now you know your ABC's and you can count to 10 with ease
Practice each and everyday, ask your mom and dad to play
Can you clap your hands and sing with me
I like singing ABC's
Can you clap your hands and sing with me
I like counting 1.2.3
Now you know your ABC's
And you can count to 10 with ease
Practice counting everyday
Ask your mom and Dad to play
Now this is how we learn to read and write
If you practice counting numbers then you'll
get them right
Can you say the alphabet with me
Can you count from 1 to 5 with me
You have learned so many things
ABC's how to count and sing
Practice each and everyday
That's all I have to say
Repeat and fade
