	A new work for orchestra and chorus commissioned by the Institute for International Sport as theme music for the Scholar-Athlete Games of Rhode Island.
	Story Behind the Song Originally commissioned as a tribute to the Scholars, Athletes and Artists of the Scholar-Athlete Games, lyrics have been edited since the event of 9/11 so the piece can work as a tribute to local heroes. Composed during the summer of 2000 for the 2001 Games and recorded by the Games student orchestra & chorus. Lyrics Sing we praise to our brothers, Sing we praise to our sisters, Sing we praise to our heroes, They have gifts which nature hath wraught. Duty calls on them to lead the way. Honor shines its light, guiding each day. Spirit carries them through all they do. And forevermore, they will join as one, With those who've gone before and those to come. One dream governs them, hand held in hand, Peace and harmony throughout our land. Love and brotherhooh for one and all. Let the music sound, let the earth resound Withe the truth that all mankind is sacred ground.
