Story Behind the Song
This child was a dream come true at last for her parents, who had tried to have a child for years. Her parents were especially proud that she was about to take her first communion, and they decided to have a party for her afterward and let her do her thing - dancing! They wanted her to feel like the star of the night. So her mom made her a sequined dress, bought her a surprise gift of diamond earrings, and contacted me with their request to write this song, so that she could choreograph and dance to the song at her big party!
Lyrics
Every head turns when she walks in, and the only sound that's heard
is the way she walks and the way she talks.
The room belongs to her.
Her diamond earrings catch the light, glittering like her turquoise dress.
She is the star of the night -- Bridget Cabrini's limitless.
CHORUS:
Look out, the Ultimate Girl is gonna rock your world.
She's gonna steal the show away;
The brightest star in the Milky Way
With her Shirley Temple curls.
Look out -- her comes the Ultimate Girl.
She's got the legs; she knows the dance, and now she's on her way.
She's got the groove and she's got the moves.
It's her first communion day.
With sweet blue eyes and long blond hair, that little girl's a dream come true.
If you just ask her daddy Jimmy, he says no one else will do.
(chorus)
She's got a pretty face, a tiny waist, and her life ahead to live.
With a fab and groovy future, so much beauty she can give.
(chorus)
An original Memphis child, cruisin' the town in Cadillac style (and she's only eight!)
Look out world, here comes the Ultimate Girl!
