	Story Behind the Song This is just the one take acoustic version of the song. I (ak) wrote it fall of 2000 right after going to college. It's probably one of the longest songs I've written. Lyrics Uncertainty shattered on the ground when it's over and I couldn't care for anyone. picking up the pieces when it's over and I couldn't care for anything. trying to hold my breath until it's gone. I'm drowning underneath it all. Filling up my lungs with the water. I'm dying from the inside out. You're just making it worse with your words And running circles around my pain. I just want to get over this. somehow, I know I never will. Uncertainty Bittersweet... Emptiness Bittersweet memories I'm slowly sinking in the water and no one even knows I'm gone. sucking in a final breath as I go under, gasping out one last plea. watching, wanting as I wait for Someone. quietly chanting a melodic hymn, I cry. reaching out for Him to take my hand, looking back I can see so clearly now. I'll never see what He can see. I never understood it all. One last hope remains.
