Story Behind the Song
There's a little secluded bay on the north shore of Oahu where I spent my teen years many moons ago enjoying the swells of the Pacific Ocean. This is for my son, Michael, who shares the passion. Surf on, dude!
Lyrics
Riding on a Summer's wave.
Feel the wind, as it gently sprays.
Sun slips behind the face,
as I pull into her warm embrace.
Sliding on the ocean blue,
as the walls around me slowly spew.
Riding through the crystal foam,
through the passage to my home.
I see the passion in her eyes,
I feel the pain when she cries.
Riding to a virgin shore,
where the tide runs to, evermore.
O'er the traces in the sand,
as the sea seems to kiss the land.
I see the passion in her eyes,
I feel the pain when she cries.
Riding on a Summer's wave.
Feel the wind, as it gently sprays.
Sun slips behind the face,
as I pull into her warm embrace.
