(Home Recording) This is a song that breaks the mould of verse-chorus-verse-chorus, with a few stanzas of lyrics at the end. Except for the harmonised solo, it was all jammed out. It may sound like drop D tuning, but uses standard tuning with power chord inversions. It has a bluesy solo in the middle. I play both guitars, do the vocals and bass, but the drums are sequenced samples.

    Story Behind the Song
After observing people's behaviour and the media for a fair while, it gradually came to me.

    Lyrics
    THE EMPEROR'S NEW CLOTHES

    Listen to the voices calling
    "We're the latest thing!"....come crawling
A new sensation sweeps the land
Yours is to propagate their brand

Swallow it down, hook line and sinker,
It's too hard to be a free thinker,
Act, talk and dress how they say,
Trust that they won't lead you astray,

Fly towards the light where they lead you
Swallow every bite that they feed you
They're in your eyes, they're in your face
At least you know your place

The world is dying of consumption
    Never question the assumption
That who you are is what you buy
From the day you're born til the day you die

    The Emperor's New Clothes...
    The Emperor's New Clothes...
    The Emperor's New Clothes...
    The Emperor's New Clothes...
