The song that started Mindflux off... With its off the wall intro, and each instrument featured in individual solos in a dynamic proportion to the driving rhythmn, "Entrophy" truely shows the sonic capabilities. |

Story Behind the Song
Back in November when we first jammed as friends, we started messing around with an open stringed riff. It was very late at night, about 2 or 3 in the morning, and we were all tired, working on the open stringed riff... And I played the nice "Pink Floyd" styled line over it. So what comes next?
Well, every good song doesn't need too many chords... I just started chugging away at a simple progression... And then it slowed down. But it worked...
So we started to rehearse to play at a possible Battle of the Bands in January. We'd only been goofing around shortly and had that, an old song that Adam wrote, and one cover that we knew. We just decided that it wasn't the time, so we stopped forcing the practice for the Battle of the Bands and started practicing for normal.
We left for our respective homes in December for Winter Break, and worked on new pieces, but individually worked on the parts to the songs.
Over that break we also changed our name from Insomniac Strings. And when January arose, so did Mindflux...
Lyrics
Entrophy (Cohen/Miller/Ticer)
Got to swing high to erase
Got to swing low to replace
All the pain of love that I once had to feel
Got to lose one to win
Got to start to maybe finally end
It's all logical here, my dear
Like the hunter chasing his prey
Like the beast kept at bay
I'm coming after you, faster than light
Like the rat running his endless race
Like the man without a face
Face to face with all our fears
Talking in endless circles
Talking in different tongues
All speaking to you, loud and undone
Singing to you of my hope
Singing to you of my fears
Coming around full circle, now it's done
Entrophy, Entrapped inside
Release, Pain in my mind
