Story Behind the Song
An old pick up line turned into a catch riff driven acoustic song, Adam originally wrote this on a solo acoustic guitar. When he was goofing off with Mindflux one day, he brought out the old piece, and slowly it evolved into a full fledged electric piece. After messing around a while on the electric, February 22nd, Adam had bought a soundhole pickup for his acoustic, so he debuted the song in a cross-bred form from the original and the electric version.
Occasionally at solo appearances, Adam will play the original acoustic version of this song... Which might later become available here...
Lyrics
And I Said (Cohen, Miller, Ticer)
I don't know where I'm going to, or where I've been
They told me "Life's a lesson" but I don't know what game I'm playing
Someone screams from a distance, in a voice clear and hollow
Something inside tells me I should follow
It down, to someplace more familiar
And I said
There's something about you, intriguingly
I can't place my finger on it, it questions me
Maybe you can sit around, and we'll pass the time
Help each other, one another, intertwined
Our hands, in hope and trust
And I said
Maybe we have something here that's worthwhile
I don't know, but time will tell
We'll just sit on tight for the ride and let it be
As time slips by you and me
And I said
