    Story Behind the Song
In the 1960’s John Lennon was one of the major influences in western civilization. Many of the songs he wrote attempted to expose what he considered the hypocrisy of traditions and values of western culture. With all the "sit-ins" and "bed-ins for peace, little was accomplished. One of the last songs he penned in 1969 was a song by the title "Revolution." The song exposes the weakness of the "peace movements" and resolves the crisis by letting time take it’s coarse. The "liberals" chastised Lennon for the song. Some even considered him a traitor. He sings "You say you want a revolution well you know we all want to see the plans." Many plans, little resolution. In the chorus he reminds the listener "You know it’s gonna be — all right." It will never be all right as long as the heart of man is darkened by sin. I wrote this song as an answer with the true revolution that takes place in the mind after the heart finds Jesus Christ.

    Lyrics
    Verse 1
    I’m in a complex situation
    A total loss of navigation
    Lookin’ for new revelation
    A revolution in my mind

    The sand is my foundation
I need to find some liberation
A view of hope and expectation
    A revolution in my mind

    Chorus
A paradise lost in a wave of humanity
Promised dreams without any hope of reality
Broken prism of the colors of a man’s soul
Shattered image of a heart grown cold

    Verse 2
    I made some crazy computations
My life became a bad equation
I need deliverance from this delusion
    A revolution in my mind

The Voice of One who is the Savior
Comes to me in loving favor
By His Life I know discover
    A revolution in my mind

    Chorus
A paradise lost in a wave of humanity
Promised dreams without any hope of reality
Broken prism of the colors of a man’s soul
Shattered image of a heart grown cold

    Verse 3
So if you need some vindication
    It’s time to make evaluation
You can find a great relation
    A revolution in your mind

The path of one who is the Savior
Comes to you in loving favor
    A paradise He has discover
    A revolution in your mind

    Chorus
A paradise won for a wave of humanity
Promised dreams complete in hope of reality
Perfect prism refracts the colors of a man’s soul
Recovered image of a heart made whole

A Recovered image of a heart made whole
