Straight Ahead Rock Song. Punching Bass and Crashing Chorus |
Credits: Lyrics: Rodney Wiltshire, Music: John Adair, Bill Lajoy, Rodney Wiltshire, Mark Adamo |
Story Behind the Song
This Song is a tribute to Dale Earnhardt Sr., and his determination on the Race Track. We were inspired after his death last year and how great of a racer he was and what his legacy will bring.
Lyrics
VERSE 1:
Put the car in cruise control, Got a feeling that I’ve got no where to go.
The Fuel is rushing inside my veins, the side is pulling but I refuse the pain.
Got a feeling that this is the end, pulling me down till I can’t see the way.
Now I know that there is a way, and I won’t stop till I fight another day.
CHORUS:
Try Running, Try Running, Try Running as fast as you can.
Try Running, I’ll keep you into my head, Till the end.
(repeat)
VERSE 2:
The G’s are running inside my head. The pit is calling but I refuse to give in.
Riding strong and I feel the same. The beast is bursting with horses and I’ve got the reigns.
Turns are coming fast with the ride. I’ll keep on driving I won’t take dive, no no.
Now I see that this is the way. My only choice is to keep holding on till the end.
CHORUS: (REPEAT)
BREAKDOWN:
GUITAR SOLO
VERSE 3:
She’s waving strong that this is the end. The fire’s burning and still I feel no pain.
Cars are cruising with me right along. She’s running hotter, but I will keep holding on.
Got a feeling that this is the end, and I won’t let it go and I won’t give it in.
Now the beast is trembling again, but she won’t let me go, no she won’t let me even give in.
CHORUS: (2X out)
