People in any relationship should talk. It is the things we don't say that sometimes speak the loudest. | MP3.com CD: In My Silence - buy it!

Story Behind the Song
One day I was reflecting back over what happened in my recently dissolved marrage. How did it go all wrong? From that came this song. It took 5 minutes for the words to come together then an hour for the music. The recording was at a friends house and took 2 takes. I hope to get to studio someday to make it sound more refined.
Lyrics
Chorus
In my silence,
I told you things that I shouldn't have said.
Keeping quiet, I kept all these words in my head.
If only I had told you how I felt, you might be here today.
But in my silence, I told you things that I shouldn't have said.
verse #1
I had my chance,
to tell you just what I believed,
to let you know just what you meant to me.
But man's foolish pride
has a way of making a man believe
that his way is right and that's all that he will see.
Repeat Chorus
verse #2
Sometimes at night,
I often think of how my life could be
with you in my arms holding me tenderly.
If only I had told you how I felt and stood there for what I believed,
then I wouldn't be alone with my memories.
Repeat Chorus x 2
