This song was originally a side project. The instrumental tracks are the result of a doctored up 4-track jam session, recorded by Tracy Brown and Mike Rauwolf only (guitar player and drummer). The band liked the song and incorporated it into their regular set list. Watch for an acoustic version to be released soon.

    Story Behind the Song
Back in high school, the members of League of 7 were all in Production Tech. class together. The school actually had a small recording studio and in the audio department of production tech, students could learn how to use audio equipment. The school's digital 8-track recorder was broken, and a project was due in only a few days, so the band pulled out a regular analogue 4-track, and decided to record something, anything. In order to mic the drums, they plugged 4 microphones into the sound board and ran the entire board into 1 track, so the drums were mixed as they were recorded. Tracy plugged in the guitar, and this recording is what resulted of that one jam session. Tracy laid down another guitar line and a bass line and they mixed it. After adding compression and effects like mad, they were actually very pleased with what resulted, and Tracy eventually wrote lyrics, which were later sung by Tracy and Mike in Tracy's downstairs room of his house. This recording is what resulted. Tracy and Mike hope to eventually re-record the song as an acoustic song.

    Lyrics
I saw the boy that I once was
    eyeing me reflectively
A spitting image of my former self
My mirror is the pool of blood
    Flowing from your beaten side
    Oh I can't believe what I've become

    Keep me close to you
    Keep me close to you
    You are all I have
So keep me close to you

    And I wonder
    And I wonder why
    And I wonder
Why did you die for me

    Oh oh oh

    My cheating, my lying
    My hatred, you crying
    My pride is, misleading
And I watch while, You're bleading
    My nails, in your hands
My thorn crown, on your head
    You hang now, above me
You look down, You still love me
