	A sort of funk/shuffle tune, & has one of the best melodies of this whole new/old collection. Lots of nice guitar/keyboard interchanges on this one.

	Story Behind the Song Grand Slam was written sometime in '85, don't remember the location but it was out on the road. The title comes from a certain breakfast item I'd had, which caused a bit of indigestion. I remember thinking at the time that 'grand slam' was more a description of how it LEFT my body rather than entered it. So a song title was born. Seriously though, I do like this tune. I've never recorded it(well, one other 4-track recording, but this one has much better energy)but have played "Grand Slam" on gigs. Despite the cheezy drum sounds, I like the energy of this performance.
