Story Behind the Song
Most of us have experienced a loss, and most of us carry a burden. We all have felt the effects of tragedy whether it is with in our own families or others who we only read about. As the butterfly escapes from it's inprisoned coocon, it emergies into a beautiful butterfly with wings and flies. In a sense, we are all like the butterfly struggling to survive. The transformation of a butterfly plays significance on our own lifes. We must all endure the pain and grief to heal. When the time is right we can let go of all our fears and worries and transform like the butterfly into a new life. Not only is this a healing process, but assists us with personal growth. Did you know a when a butterfly lands on you, it's senses your loss? We can can fly, high...
Lyrics
Butterflies Can Fly (Why Can't I?)
Verse 1
If my memory serves me right
And at the time I couldn’t fight
Surrounded by sorrow
There’s no tomorrow
Cries in the night
Prayers for the light
Chorus
Maybe I can fly
Oceans of the skies
A passion that I hide
That I can’ fly
Maybe I can fly
With angels of the skies
If butterflies can fly
So why can’t I?
Verse 2
She lands when one departs
Comforts souls with broken hearts
Discover my own strengths now
To love and know how
Life will go on
I will be strong
Chorus
I won’t run away
And I won’t be afraid
And I have one thing to say
Today I am going to fly
I will fly…
High..
Chorus
