This is a song from my teenage years with my first band: Mississippi Mudd. It's a hard hitting Blues Rock song w/ a horn Section. |
CD: Lost and Found
Label: Muddy Records
Credits: Daniel L. Vaillancourt and Mississippi Mudd |
Story Behind the Song
First off it's important to understand how young we were when this was recorded... Let's meet the band, shall we:
Dan Vaillancourt: (Age 17) Vocals, Guitar
Bill Bock: (Age 16) Guitar, Harmonica, Backing Vocals
Dave Yanacek: (Age 14) Bass, Backing Vocals
Erik “Kwazy Dwammo” Ryden: (Age 14) Dwams
Even in this studio recording, we each take a little turn in the spotlight with Bill soloing between verses along with the harmonica at the end, I did the last guitar solo, Erik gets a minute to beat the skins, and Dave takes a turn with his Mississippi Steamboat Funk at the end. Also, Dave and I composed the score for the horn section.
Bill also wrote many of the songs and sang lead vocals... check out one of his songs at: msmudd.iuma.com
