Story Behind the Song
"Bucket In The Sky" came to me in the early morning hours, traveling on Stonewall Jackson's bus. I was riding shotgun with his son Turp. Having played the Grand Ole Opry that night, we were well out of Nashville at 2:00 a.m. when Stonewall wanted some chicken. After a while, way off in the distance, we spotted a bucket in the sky. This song is for Stonewall & Turp Jackson.
