Story Behind the Song
I was at a concert a week ago, and I seen two of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen dancing with each other throughout the whole show. I kind of took a fancy to one of them, a lovely blonde girl, and I wrote this song about her.
Lyrics
(CHORUS) I saw you dancing there last night
dancing with your girlfriend
The way you moved was oh, so right
Too bad the night had to end
Sweet, petite and very sleek
jean jacket and a short black dress
Blonde and fun and very young
You stole my conscience and my heart, I confess
I had trouble thinkin'
as the band blasted away
There's just somethin' 'bout the sight
of two girls actin' that way
Your brunette pal was quite a gal
she liked dancin' with you I could tell
Summer dress, her figure's been blessed
You compliment one another so well
I had trouble thinkin'
as the band blasted away
There's just somethin' 'bout the sight
of two girls actin' that way
CHORUS
Gazin' at the two of you...
now my mind's a mess!
The stagelights were shinin' through
your black dress, oh yes!!!
I saw you dancin' there last night
dancin' with your girlfriend
The way you moved was oh, so right
Too bad the night had to end
