	Story Behind the Song Bassist Bruce Benke and drummer Stocker Travis and I made up three-fourths of the now defunct band Another Fine Mess, and this is a song we played together from time to time, although I changed it up a bit for this project. This was recorded mostly live in the studio with only a few overdubs, and except for a 30 minute rehearsal the day before, Andy Gillham had never played the song. It is a tremendous honor having his guitar on this album. Brandon takes over on the drums at about the 5:00 minute mark, when we shift from 6/8 to 4/4 and then back again. The 4/4 change was his suggestion and a good one, too. I had Andy and Bruce in the studio with Brandon tracking that section, and after only a couple of false starts we rolled tape and got the performance you hear in one take. A few guitar corrections were all that was needed. Alan's keyboards were overdubbed later, and although he groused good naturedly about playing solo piano, he is spectacular at it.
