A nice little diddy about doing things half-assed or procrastinating (and wishing you didn't). The full band's here (guitars, drums, bass, vocals) so it should be a blast. Plus I use a B11 and C#11 chord. Weee! |

Story Behind the Song
Strangely enough, the inspiration for the music of this song originated from "Love, Rain O'er Me" by The Who (awesome song). Figure out the connection and I'll give you a dollar. Everything just evolved from there, including the lyrics. The first line was just something spontaneous that seemed to come because of the sound of the music, then I had to think for the rest. This turned out to be my most complicated and most difficult song so far, but I'm sure it will be surpassed. Anyway, enjoy!
Lyrics
If only I could do things right, For once in my life,
Then I could do what I dream about.
If I didn't procrastinate, Didn't make me wait,
I'd have more time to work things out.
But I'm not yet me, or can this be?
I hope it's not the end of progress in my ife.
I know I'm Better than What I am Now doing.
But will I Ever be The man I Want to Be.
When have I put forth the effort? I give my all close to never.
I've just done enough so I don't fall.
There are times I remember I can do a whole lot better,
Just gotta beat this and jumpstart it all.
I need some motivation To put this plan in action,
Or maybe all I Need to do is try.
I know I'm Better than What I am Now doing.
But will I Ever be The man I Want to Be.
If only I could do things right, For once in my life,
Then maybe I could be Free.
