I'm putting this in Jazz Fusion because I think the genre started so promising and now has become utterly anal "precision easy listening" for Berklee grad fantasizers and other music nerds. I prefer the original 60's Fusion experiments which were down & dirty, chaotic, and more emotive than intellectual. This is just a raw, unedited jam I did in a few minutes having fun. |

Story Behind the Song
Peter cut this in his home studio in about 15 minutes. It's the first, and only, take. I put the guitar on the left down first, then the bass, then the drums, and finally the guitar on the right. I had written the guitar part a couple weeks before but the bass and drumming you hear are first-gasp improvs...notice how I'm figuring out where to voice the bass as the song develops...and turns out the bass ends up as the lead instrument. No clicks, and no editing was performed, if you didn't notice. Raw and in the flesh!
