	Melipilla is a is high energy Latin Rhythm based original composition. The piano montuno and the rhythms that the percussionist plays are straight out of the Afro-Cuban tradition. Yet the melody and harmony are reminiscent of the sounds of Spain.

	Story Behind the Song Melipilla is named after a the small town in Chile, south of Santiago, where my wife was born and raised. I believe the "hot" Latin Percussion, and Nylon String guitar help to capture the sound of a place so important in my life, that I have only seen in pictures and in my imagination
