(1998) This is a piece for baroque flute... the early wooden flute much like a recorder, but played "transversely" or sideways. Here Andrew Bolotowsky plays and narrates. Story Behind the Song
As I mentioned, this work was a recast of an earlier ensemble piece. The earlier piece had some successes -- it was played at the Eastman School and read by the "Contemporary Chamber Ensemble" under Arthur Weisberg. That was the hottest contemporary group at the time. (Mid 1970s)
