Story Behind the Song
Uplifting story of realizing that everything we need has already been given. SUGMAD is a Sanskrit word for GOD. As long as we do everthing in the name of IT, we can't go wrong. This song reminds me of 9/11/01 to a large degree though it was penned in 1982, when I had just moved back to the Bay Area from OK.
Lyrics
As I walk amongst a burnt out forest of trees,
I cant help but see them all turn green.
With the spirit of SUGMAD upon me,
I just dropped Jot Niranjan's Potpourri of needs.
That over loaded bag of: drags, drugs, lust and greed.
Who needs them anyway?
HU
Walked into an old friend, she didnt even see me.
Felt like an Invisible Man.
And then you called Xmas Eve,
You broke up my invisible wall.
I thank you my friend,
And friends I thank you all!
Instrumental break
You have given me everything I need.
Its all hear for the takin,
And my love I am gladly givin,
And my heart is pumpin,
My veins are thrivin.
You have given me everything I need,
In the Spirit Of SUGMAD
In the Spirit
In the spirit of love (2nd part)
In the Spirit
In the Spirit Of SUGMAD
In the Spirit Of SUGMAD!
