    Story Behind the Song
Although I find this folk song about as easy to sing as "The Star-Spangled Banner," I've wanted to end an album with it for a long time...So I didn't.

    Lyrics
    This ride will end
    A hard-luck story
    The climbing cold, an allegory
But through the glass, in all its glory
The moonlight, is coming home tonight

At times it glowed the silver platter
Then showed the way when you were shattered
Now turn the page that doesn't matter
The moonlight, is coming home tonight

This winding road has danced the light until it found ya
Now on the faces of these passengers around ya
As the driver hums the radio
And those long-lost hills begin to show
The feeling here can only grow and maybe you can smile

Turn down the ache, turn up the singers
Don't let this time slip through those fingers
Shut off the lamp, just let it linger
The moonlight, is coming home tonight
