	#1 ON THE JAZZ STANDARDS CHART (11/04/03) This song made popular by the Dave Brubeck Quartet in the early 60's, probably best defines the cool-jazz era and is one of the few "pure" jazz numbers to make-it to the top of the popular music charts. When originally released, this tune created quite a stir among jazz purists with the use of the 5/4 time signature, which, blatantly went against the 4/4 doctrine prevalent in jazz. Please enjoy this version of Paul Desmond's jazz masterpiece.
