	Story Behind the Song Back around 1986, the Berkeley Cafe in Raleigh NC was a nesting ground for the local music scene. It was at the Berkeley that "Blue Moon Rising" made a debut. I recorded it with some friends in Charlotte NC around 1989 and again with Whirled Peas in 1998.
