Yes, this was the original intro - funny how it sounds like a popular Steve Miller song!? (Only thing is, Believe Me was written a few years before it!) A toe-tappin', ROCKIN' tune - circa 1974 - with some cool guitar riffs, drum licks and synth FX. |
Credits: Jeff Blumer - lead guitar/vocal, John Blumer - bass/backing vocals, Jeff Gahart - drums, Greg Nagy - keyboards, Doug Cox - backing vocals, Cornay might have played on this too?? Engineer: Gene LeSage/LeSage Studios, Napa, CA 1975. |
Story Behind the Song
It was a kind of boyfriend/girlfriend song about being on the road, touring - trying to make some cash. Justifying the distant relationship, and the rogue behavior of the boyfriend (a la S., D. & R.&R. lifestyle, etc.)
We were very young 16 to 18 yr. olds, and of course, we just thought we were TOO cool (for being in a recording studio, laying down these original tunes)!
