    Story Behind the Song
The girl I used to date, I liked her alot my junior year. At the time though she was with a guy who I thought was a real jerk. This is a song about how I thought he was completely undeserving of her.

    Lyrics
    You think you're slick?
I can't believe, you've got her hangin' off your sleeve.
You don't deserve, someone so grand, constantly holding your hand.
And does she know, the things you say, are just so you can have your way.
And sentiments, easy to fake, until at last her heart you break.

And I was just thinkin', 'bout how good guys finish last.
It finally hit me, that good guys finish last.

And she believes, that everything, you ever said to her is true.
Quite frankly I, don't understand, what anyone could see in you.
You're such a jerk, I can't believe, you practically have everything, handed to you, and so was she, so she'll just forget about me.

And I was just thinkin', 'bout how good guys finish last.
It finally hit me, that good guys finish last.

With the walk, and the talk, that could kill the king of rock and roll you see, and she breathes, his cologne, he was everything she could need, but where, oh where, oh where does that leave me?

And I was just thinkin', 'bout how good guys finish last.
It finally hit me, that good guys finish last.
No need, to explain, 'bout how good guys finish last.
Now I understand, now I understand.
